Ordering / demanding purchases from web (for ISS staff)

About web request service

You can use the Internet to order literature/books or request purchases of books from your office or home.

Persons eligible

Persons who belong to the ISS and have completed library user registration (including emeritus professors).
Please see User registration for information about user registration.

ISS research staff / researchers (including visiting and project ones) / emeritus professors

Requesting copies of or lending of literature

A separate request is not required. When expenses are incurred, you may make both official-expense (library committee budget) and personal-expense payments.

Demanding book purchases

ISS staff subject to allocation of specialist book budget may demand purchases via the web, with a separate request not required.

If you do not have a specialist book budget, you cannot make a book purchase demand. You can make book purchase requests to the General Library, Komaba Library, and Kashiwa Library.

Requesting copies of or lending of literature

A usage request is not required when ordering the originals of materials inside the university (free of charge).

But in the case of ordering services that require fees (ordering copies, ordering the originals of materials from outside the university), a usage request needs to be made in advance. Please complete the following usage request form and bring it to the ISS Library counter.

If you wish to request payment by official expense (library committee budget), the signature/seal of the teaching staff in charge is required on the usage request form.

Demanding book purchases

You cannot make a book purchase demand. You can make book purchase requests to the General Library, Komaba Library, and Kashiwa Library.

How to use

You can make requests for various services after logging into MyOPAC.
Note: You cannot made requests from the normal version of OPAC.

Ordering books/literature

You make requests for internal materials directly from the holding library from MyOPAC.
The ISS Library will order external materials from the holding library after the receipt of your request.
Borrowing conditions differ depending on the holding library. Please see the user guide below for details.
